Desterted

Abandoned and deserted
I grew thorns
Like cactuses.
I stare at the glaring blue sky
For benign clouds
To come and quench my thirst.
Rain! Rain!
Will you not bless
My parched earth?
Or will you flitter away
Beyond my horizon
And leave me in the lurch?
