Life is dessert ready to be eaten

It's all anticipation, expectation and excitement

Much like ice cream, cake and pie

We just can't get enough



Life is a play ground for a child

It's all open spaces, friendship and sharing

Much like swings, see-saws and slides

We can't wait for the next ride



Life is a movie

It begins and ends

With unexpected moments in between

Much like comedy, adventure and horror

We relish the funny mystery ahead



Life is a picnic

It's all food, company and scenery

Much like parks, blankets and family

We find warmth in the wonderful

Feeling of connection



Life is a dance

It takes a while to get the rhythm

But once you get in the zone

All the rest is care free

Much like steps twirls and spins

The flow comes easy



Life is like a book

The chapters, theme and meaning

Are rich with vigor, and tales of surprise

With each turning of the page

The journey to the end excites



Life is a party

Full of wonderful surprising moments

Invitations, new faces and cake make

For an eventful celebration



When cake is involved

Life is always looking up

All the twists and turns, and ups and downs

Make for a great life lived
