Every time you close your eyes
I'm the shadow that you see in the dark.
every time you show that smile
I look at you and cant help but laugh.
every time you walk alone
I wish I were holding your hand.
whenever you are down
I'll be the one to lift you up again.

I've learned to love everything you love
I've learned to hold everything you touch
you're the reason why I smile and cry
and I desperately need you.

Every time you are happy
I imagine that I'm the reason why.
every time you are alone
I wish I was the thought that is running within your mind.
whenever I hear your voice
I forget everything and sink within that noise
when our sights collide
I believe that you love me
because for a second, I crossed your mind.

I've learned to love everything you love
I've learned every move you do
the reason why I'm writing this poem is because I care
and I desperately need you
