Desolation Poem by Richard Trembath

Desolation

Emptiness.
How deep the well that plummets
into nothingness.
How bitter the soft tears I cry
alone.
How black the night that brings not
comfort, nor repose.
How hideous the blinding light of dawn
that brings another day
whose only purpose is
to torture me.
How heavy this cold stone
that is my heart.
I know not how to face today,
much less the years to come.

Poignant, deep truth of loss that know no bounds, bound together through internal grief untold.

Very poetic description of a state of total desolation. It may be hard to get out of such a depressed mood. Finding the blessing of one sweet memory, the blessing of one sweet sight the blessing of one sweet sound and get in a grateful mood for this small blessing may really help (?)
