Desires Poem by Van B

Desires

Rating: 5.0

My life is full of such desires:
Just want to be under those lights;
Flaunt that I may be vast in size,
and evince that I can be wise.

I wish everything was fair,
But you don't even seem to care.
I really hope you would dare
to do anything just to share.

Don't wanna be trapped in a cage
of misery I'd hate to take
And so I turn another page
I'll let out a smile that I fake.

Tell me I am being strange
I'd say that things do really change
Some things are lost, some things are gained.
I've moved on from the past and pain.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I dedicate this to everyone out there that are being judged.

I wrote this poem about two years ago and edited it only months ago. I was getting tired of being told what to do and what not to do. I wanted to be free. I wanted to do things on my own without being judged. So everything that I felt was all put here. Some emotions are just indescribable, so they're left unsaid.

A sublime start with a nice poem, Vanessa. You may like to read my poem, Love And Lust. Thank you.
