Desire Or Design? Poem by Danny Draper

If god was real and chose to sleep
And once asleep did choose to dream
Would fantasy or reality into unconsciousness
Consciously or unconsciously creep.
And was such a decision arrived at
Without deliberation or revision
As the intent of god is of precision
And was it of desire or design
And was the desire designed
Or the design desired?
Was god capable of a free and uncontrolled unconscious?
And if so was it by desire and design?
And while at slumber and dream
Would it be fantasy or reality?
As either or both could each one be
By desire or whim
Deliberately or unintentionally
And would the stuff of dreams
Become reality by the dreams existence
To remain as substance when god awoke
And be present by
Conscious or unconscious design or desire
Whether conscious or unconscious
And was this a place created by god.
Or could the reality of consciousness
And the fantasy of unconsciousness be interconnected?
Did god need to sleep or to be awake?
Or was awake sleeping or sleeping awake
And was fantasy reality or reality fantasy?
If god slept and chose not to dream
How long would the sleep last before god woke?
Would god know sufficient rest was achieved?
Would god know everything was ok while asleep,
That everything would keep on running
Could god switch off from the everyday running?
Was the place built by desire or design
To keep running?
If god chose to never wake up
Could the running keep going and develop
Its own consciousness as god had,
Was it by design or desire
Or consciously desired design?
Or was and is the whole thing god
Awake or asleep but not intervening,
With designed obsolescence
Propagated by consciousness
Powered by the conundrum
Design or desire
As the running
Consciously or unconsciously
Produces consciousness
By its design,
Was this gods desire?
