! Desire Poem by Vidyadhar Durgekar

! Desire

Rating: 5.0

Tiny tiny are my desires,
To sing with guitar without wire,
To blare in the open not any to ire
To dance in the rain, with no attire;

Eat ice cream in cold winter,
Swim in the arctic icy water,
Like a thick skinned polar bear,
Take sun bath, on the banks of a river

To let free and fly forever,
Like clouds in monsoon weather
Pouring down in the lap of earth my mother,
To forget the world and from life retire;

To make the island of barren,
The lovers abode of promised Zion.
Swim across the ocean seven,
To reach the Gods in heaven,

Such desires may sound odd. But they are so natural, every human wants them to be fulfilled........very beautifully penned. Reminds me the song 'chota sa aasha....'

and freedom is the only choice, let all happen true by desire even not wedded to reason, fire never burns the fear, anyhow wonderfully interesting by the reading yet with imagery, what happens to happen that does not happen but what never happens to happen that happens true, yet amystery on the rune of desire by sheer principle of uncertainty, , , , , , wellpenned,10+, thanks for sharing

The desires here, in fact, are infinitely tall! The desire ‘To dance in the rains with no attire’ seems to be attainable! What makes poetry different from prose is the imaginative element that it might contain...richly imaginative piece this one...good attempt on rhyming too...10
