Desert Winds Poem by John Evans

Desert Winds

Fledgling words break within the silence
of the desert winds
Anguished air, no beauty of the forrest.
Blood of ageless love - You!
Listen to the deepened voices
of desert winds,
through my grievous utterances.
Linger with me
within this anguished air,
lay with me only to be my all.
Ah, the endearing adornments of pearls,
Trampled by dogs and swine; why?
These fledgling words
that break within the silence
of the spicy desert winds.
