Desert Poem by Michael Koelliker

Desert

Rating: 5.0

From the shadows of the icy night
The fiery Sun brings equal fright
Death by Fire, Death by Ice
In this barren Hell, either would be nice

Danger lurking in the sand
The Elements bend to your false command
My dark reflection is in my hand

The Mind’s Eye creates illusions
The burning grain brings delusions
The distant land causes confusions

Brightening Shadows, darkening Light
Each lost step weakens your might
The Reaper’s Touch is most precise
Only Your Life will suffice
