Depressions End Poem by Barbara Crane

Depressions End

Rating: 5.0

Life is all but a shadow is the dead of night
Darkness smothering and cold surrounds you
The past is what you hold onto so in the darkness you’ll remain
Flickers of light
You can see now
After unwanted help
Hope has been endured
It’s unlike anything you’ve ever had, felt or believed
Instead of being in the shadow you’re out in front
That dark world you claimed to live in
Is now one of sunshine, and stars
Your past is no longer cared for just a distant memory
Only the present, now
And sometimes a thought for the future
Your heart is soaring, racing, and happy at last
