Depression Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Depression

Does loneliness dishearten you?
Deeply depressed you feel
Though midst large crowds like morning dew
Separation feels real

While unseen angels, are all around
Constant Christ's arm's are there
Deliverance always can be found
Through Jesus, everywhere!

Meekly, mildly, sweetly tender
God calls with love and grace
Until depressive soul’s surrender
For peace and joy to replace

How few today this fact can see
Rejecting Heaven's call
To Jesus God's Son, bend their knee
Demonic crowns to fall

Depression's not a godly state
But tool in Satan’s hand
To fell the weak, weaken the great
From which Heaven has planned

Look to The Christ, God’s Son alone
Jesus, Life’s King on high
Open by faith, your heart of stone
Observe depression die

Receive life’s true joy now living
While truth direct life’s path
Praise God with joyful thanksgiving
Free of eternal wrath

Inform how depression’s beaten
Free of demonic snares
How true knowledge life will sweeten
In He who truly cares.....
