Depressed Soul Poem by Tayyab Ijaz

Depressed Soul

Rating: 4.5

Oh! Sweet heart, why are you depressed
Your tiny heart is weary and
Face is withered like flower
My comforting words can't soothe your soul
Had it been so I would sing you the songs of spring
I would bring all the cataracts and orchids to allays your pains
But the fairy tales, the gestures of love and objects of nature
Can't erase the sorrows writ on thy souls
I can the agony but fail to help you
The pleasures of love, the warmth of lovers hand,
The changing contours of face with lovers touch
And longing for long night span, entice us
But your pain and sorrows can't be cured
Only death will unite you with your lover
