Denial Poem by Michael Nikoletseas

Denial

Rating: 5.0

Your body sails
Swallow's wing
Amongst odd shaped birds
Snow on the slopes of Dirfy

The other wing
God's hand
Holds vigil

Their flameless candles in hand
Now the crowds
Jostle
In hypotaphia passages

I raised my candle in the wind
And told him to love it
The wind blew it out

You raised your candle
To tell me you love me
But you blew it out
