Democratic Country Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Democratic Country

It has poisoned the mind
Previously they were simple and kind
Kashmir was known as heaven on earth
Now it has turned into silent death

Only religion can’t decide the fate
It is unfortunate to state
Even if you are struggling for identity
Why on earth you are taking help from hostile country?

How someone can dare to raise anti national slogans?
When country is feeding them with need of humans
Army did rescue operation at cost of their lives
Almost whole of the population respected and believed

It is possible that majority of the people is against militants
But why are they providing help and hideouts?
Why do they fire at unarmed policemen?
How can you expect good treatment even?

India is democratic country
With strong political system and judiciary
No one can violate human rights
If so he has to face legal fight

People shall only face hunger
It shall only increase frustration and anger
Bulk of population may suffer
So reject outside interference and offer
