Delusions Vll Poem by Morgan Michaels

Delusions Vll

Truth is Delusion's precipitate.
The Brooklyn Bridge was once
only Robling's notion;
precipitate lacking
Delusion voids itself
and blows off- an abortus
leaving the dreamer shaken;
Yielding a rich precipitate
Delusion becomes real,
Reality is the pearl of Delusion
Everything we call Truth
hardens from Delusion
gets it's foot in the door;
Delusion is the oyster
Reality the pearl-
Reality is spun from Delusion:
it crystallizes;
So our Truth is the offspring of Delusion and Need
and, in it's own neighborhood,
in the world of ideas,
entirely suffices.
