Delivered Elegance Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Delivered Elegance

Rating: 5.0

A faded flower
I am
Still clinging to
The branch.

Held loose where
Attached
Ready I am
To fall.

Flowers that bloomed
With me
Are gone long
Time ago.

It seems fair now
I join 'em
Living without fragrance
Is no joy.

I was a bud once
That opened
Proudly delivered elegance
What a life!

Once bud, now a faded flower about to fall and wither away. That is life. You have brought out the truth in very simple words.

We all look nostalgically back to life and yearn for what is lost! But be consoled.... all is not lost! Beauty and fragrance linger, though not so fresh as before!

Faded flower still clinging to the branch. Really very beautifully presented each line with nice humour. Excellent.

Very nice outlook and poetic expressions of an accomplished life. I love the comparisons with flower buds, blossomed and decay - As I read I related to myself. Thanks for sharing!
