Intricate is the human mind
Self consciousness of man
The will to seek and hope to find
The essence of life’s plan
Consider ears nose and eyes
Thumbs on our well formed hand
The choice of truth of speaking lies
And seek to understand
What causes sun and moon to shine
The stars to twinkle bright
What can the vilest soul refine
And flood with perfect light
Could nature make a brain appear
A conscious soul to be
Cause selfless love, give birth to fear
And build a child like me
Could evolution make these things
Nature life’s wonders form
Could time or chance cause eagle wings
To fly above a storm
Or could there be a God above
A Kingdom in the sky
A Lord so full of selfless love
He chose for man to die
Could it be He who did it all
Who made all things appear
Who hears and sees when children call
And takes away their fear
Why are the worldly wise still fools
Atheists all but free
Defying life its golden rules
Failing The Truth to see
