Delhi Zoo Tragedy Poem by Md. Asadullah

Delhi Zoo Tragedy

Rating: 5.0

Man fell into the cage.
Tiger roared with rage.
It came close to him.
Gazed with eyes grim.

Man shivered with fear.
His eyes filled with tear.
Pleaded with folded hands.
It thought and scanned.

Filled was its large tum.
But t'was a prey not chum.
Reputation was at stake.
Force was real not fake.

Fellow men pelted at it.
Tiger got agitated a bit.
Far the man it hauled.
Angrily the man it mauled.

Chance to settle the score.
Poor, helpless man it tore.
Tiger is made for a kill.
Soon the man was still.

How sad..... For days that incident greatly grieved me! Probably the tiger would have spared him, had the people remained silent! But at such a tense moment, the reaction of the people also is quite natural.....! We have to be careful while taking photos! Avoid risky spots and guard every step! A great write!
