Delhi Rape: An Epilogue
I can feel her, even when my eyes are closed
She crawls around, and i'm freezing in cold
I try to gulp down air, but no matter I choke
She had strangled me, to rip through my chord
I struggle a lot, as my eyes are popping out
She slowly cuts my flesh, with a sharpened knife
My voice can not be heard, even as I shout
It's struck me then, she's gonna take my life
With no legs and nude, she floats in thin air
Her eyes, they stare, filled with rage and fire
Blood oozing down, from her skull through hair
Holding the same rode, she comes to my chair
She taunts and whispers, right next to me
'You want my blood? come take it for free
Can you quench your lust with the drops of these? '
As she pours a few drop of blood in me
I can feel my tounge as burnt and dead
By the touch of those two drop blood
She smiles, as her revenge makes me dread
With flare in eyes, she screams and moves ahead
'All of my dreams, I weaved as a child
Wasn't matter at all, hence you crushed me wild
You took it from me, I could not run or hide
And I lost everything, my life and my pride
You men think, you can conquer us alone
With powerful muscles and testosterone
Things got changed, those days have gone
Come with lust, and we will cut your bone'
Neverthless that, I'm forgiving you
For what you did, and put me through
I'm no beast, and No harm I will do
No torture can bring the human inside you'
As she said and she turned her back
Vanished away to the depths of dark
My hands untied and i can freely walk
All my wounds are healed, without a single mark
All that left, was the foot long Iron rode
Which i used on her, as she pleaded 'No More'
I took it in hand, I dont deserve a chance
Nothing more to think, Just pierced it on my throat
Poet's Notes about The Poem
(Those who dont know please visit http: //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2012_Delhi_gang_rape_case.)
I have sisters. And she too was my sister. She fought for justice till her last breath, to bring the rapists in front of the law.I wish she had her revenge. She will, through this poem. Can she? I dont know.
I would die to protect a woman from such beasts.
This is a tribute her.
