Define Me
What defines who we are
is it where you were born
who your parents are
what actions you take
maybe your job
a disease you contract
what side your on
how you pray
or if you pray at all
maybe its how you live
what you want
how you cope
if you cry
or dont feel at all
when you were born
or how you treat people
i dont know
but i have to find myself
this mess of definition
what defines me
who i am
who we all are
how we are seen
define me
This is great on so many levels Audrey Marie Kay and in so many ways. Once we know the truth of who we are without depending on anything external, we become free of the hold of any of those things to define us. You're a great poet! : -)

Almost six years has passed since I first read this one and it was like reading it for the first time again.
