Deer Hunting

'I spat before thou! '
He said with a sneer,
And without a bow
To the sniggering deer.'

'All this trouble,
For a bit of deer
And bubble? '
He asked the deer.

'I climbed the mountain
For a great big deer,
And what a bargain,
When I found thou here!

Thou ran into the forest,
I followed gladly.
Thou were the biggest,
I lost sadly.

Now thou stand before me,
My arrow strung.
Then thou let the battle be,
Before it even begun! '
