Deeper Than My Skin Poem by Barbara Crane

Deeper Than My Skin

Deep, dark, rich, ruby, red,
Blood
Staining the clean, white, pure, cloth
Caused by you
But the pain is not
Felt
And you watch the blood flow down and
Drip,
Drip,
Drip,
One for anger
Another for hate
The red drops for every tear not shed
And truth untold
Time spends
Your blood drips and
Life ebbs
