Decisions Poem by miesha devres

Decisions

Rating: 5.0

It may come as a surprise to you
that I realize that you aren't what you claim to be
I see through your lies and right into the eyes of your soul
You see, the soul holds nothing but truth
and the truth can be used to uncover the lies that hide behind your facade
A facade of happiness, a facade of joy
that's just as fake as a soldier toy
You can deploy a toy into a real battle and expect it not to rattle and break
Your front will one day come to an end
It cannot hold up in the battle of life, no matter how much strife you put into it
It will one day crumble and tumble to the ground
Leaving you with no front, no fake, no facade to hide behind
So which do you choose to lose
The fake that will one day break,
or your peace of mind and soul that I hope will one day take hold.

Miesha, this is an excellent poem! There are many persons I have met in my life, that such decisions had to be made. Very nice write that merits a 10!
