December View Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

December View

winter greets me
with a gentle kiss
from the frigid December air
turning my cold cheeks
a slight rosy red

A blanket of white
shimmering snow
covers the frozen ground
and falling flakes
dust the evergreens

I close my eyes and inhale
a long deep breath
filling my chilled lungs
with the harsh and artic
late December air

the frosty chill runs through my body
surging through out my icy veins
the coldness spreads from head to toe
and my breath is taken away
by this panoramic December view
