December Poem by Sunny Rose

December

Rating: 3.5

December lay dusty on my table
It was once my beautiful new calender
Outside, the seeds have sprouted,
The little birds have already flown

December was special although i did despise
It's coldness now makes me feel heat and warm
Seasons can change, seasons do change
And so is my December gone

But this calender lay quitely,
Lifeless, casting a shadow
Until April was placed beside it
By her hands of the new season

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I'm explaining it for my own pleasure it's not for you but if you wanna read it's okay
At first comes the literal meanings.BUT the last two lines says that the poem isn't about the literal meaning after all. It's about the end and beginning of a relationship and most importantly change of hearts
story type explanation: i was in love with a girl last year when i broke up with her in december. Now is spring, april of the next year and i'm looking back by looking at the calender(december) which was dusty(haven't change the calender, didn't want to, doesn't matter what time i live in) I hated that month but now no more coz the coldness(sorrow) of the breakup taught me a lesson and i feel good about it(makes me feel heat and warm) .Hearts can change, hearts do change so my december(sorrow) is gone. When i look at the calender, brings old memories(casting a shadow) and realize it was lifeless. Then my new love(new season) brought a new calender and placed it on the table beside my december.
