December Poem by Neal Sigmund

December

Brief December afternoon
Sun reflects on waxing moon
Smoky clouds that quickly form
Bode of swift approaching storm Sudden frisky northern gale
Spits a rain of stinging hail
Ever lucid Laura lake
Lashes out her angry wake After icy storm abates
Silent frigid night awaits
To solace Laura lake until
Harried wrinkles smooth and fill Her waters numbed at last succumbed
To winter's early morning chill
