Decaying On Words Poem by Kathryn Garner

Decaying On Words

Rating: 2.8

Decaying on words and shadows
And lost in life

But I believe I’ve found the light
In an air that never laid right
Inside lungs
Hindering the words I breathe
Hindering these words from me

But its too hard to believe
That there’s still the rest of me
Hiding, lying,
Suffocated and taunted by air
As if there’s something in there
To live for
Is there something to live for?

Lost in life
With a light
And chased to solitude
What’s the worst of hardships
Is what you do to you

Decaying in words
Lost in life
Begging myself to hide from the light
