Debby Poem by Wisdom Clay

Debby

If we hold hands
Our toes in the sand
May leave a footprint
A threshold to where love is
But I'm the opposite
Your dreams I'll brake with reality
When I become too scared to be on that journey
Where broken hearts go
I can't let the fire burn
A frown your smile will turn
I'll be the opposite
It was different
Down that road I have been
But I was you and you was me
I can say I want you
I can say I see you
Now can't let you have my hands
If our toes in the sand
Leave footprints
Telling a threshold to where love is
My indecisiveness, pain and loss
All mine
