Deaths Dark Dance Poem by ShelleyAnne Stanworth

Deaths Dark Dance

Oceans I have filled with tear I've cried
For a love I had and now been denied
I searched all the shores and their tide
For a secret cave to crawl into and hide
Away to rebuild my strength and pride
And patience to take in my stride
Deaths dark dance, resulting in a divide
Between me and the latern by my side
A source of comfort, my only confide
The soul on whose light my soul relied
The unity when two souls collide
A torch in life I needed still to guide
Swollen eyes through the jungle outside

Lovely~ Quite an interesting way of rhyming too, I might add. My favorite lines are: Deaths dark dance, resulting in a divide Between me and the lantern by my side
