Death Was Upon Her Poem by Naomi Chao

Death Was Upon Her

Rating: 4.8

It was the middle of the night
the snow drifted down
there was no light
when they went to bed

In the freezing weather
there was a lone girl
as light as a feather
for she had not eaten in days

Her features were unknown
because of her wild hair
in her hand was a blue stone
as blue as her sapphire eyes

Suddenly, the girl was falling
collapsing like a rag doll
the life in her slowly dissapearing
as death captured another innocent soul

What a calamity that befell upon this sympathetic soul. Very sad but lovely piece of poetry. I love it. Thanks for sharing.
