Death’s Fallacy Poem by Gregory (gshaw57) Upshaw

Death’s Fallacy

Death do not assume victory
There is no white flag
For I am still here
My life, my soul, still enriched
And
Full of spirit—

I know you wait
Like a snake in the woods
Like the evil you are
You await my soul—

I fear you, but not for myself
But
For my soul
I struggle for redemption
Every day of my life—

With your devilish obstacles waiting
To entrap my soul
My strength within him
Keeps me strong—

Therefore, I need not fear you
For my life shines bright within myself—
Although, you are an admirable foe
So content to wait
For your moment in time—

However, that time is not now
For my life has a unique plan
So, I have been told
And
That plan has been determine
From the onset of my life—

Never-the-less, I know that time
Will come
However, when it comes
You will be disappointed
For my life’s spirit and soul
Will be reborn
Into a new and better life—
