'Death's Calling' Poem by W.T. Brown

'Death's Calling'

“ Till Death brings me peace
I’ll remain with a smile upon my face,
Not because im happy
But because I dream of a better place,
Where the sky is bright
And pain does not exist,
But for now I’ll let go
And let my soul drift,
Into a realm where
Few choose to dwell,
Where I can spread my wings
And fly out of this empty shell,
To free my mind
And release my heart,
From a life of pain
That has torn it apart,
So when you see me
Know the last tear has not yet fallen,
For my soul is not yet free
Until death has stopped its callin, ”
