Death Rattle Poem by Kaity Desrosiers

Death Rattle

Rating: 4.0

My heart stops,
My body convulses.
Creating an end.
My death.

I look for your breath,
While gasping for air.
I begin to depart.
My death.

Blood becomes acid,
Than mucous unfolds within.
Routing my way.
My death.

My mind won't let me in
Into what I am facing.
My death.

No longer is life,
Without my true love.
I am a lone sparrow,
Without an arrow
To that spot in my heart.
My death.

Hear the death rattle!
Love has met me,
Then left me to live.
Dead.
