Death Of A Soldier Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

Death Of A Soldier

Rating: 5.0

He fell and died
Bloody on a foreign battlefield
Thinking himself forgot.

In flag draped coffin came home
Back to his beloved country
Where crowds lined the streets
Giving homage as the hearse drove bye.

He will never be forgot
With his name inscribed in glory
Upon the roll of honour
For the sacrifice which he made.
