Death Of A Dream Poem by Low Li Ling Jasmine

Death Of A Dream

Your words are preying on my fears to destroy my happiness
I tried to push them out of my mind
But you keep on dripping poison into my ear
I tried to hide what I'm hiding inside
You saw that I'm not fazed in the slightest
So you add on more opinions

Behind that desiccated mask, are you enjoying this?
You have succeeded
Whatever was being said had pierced me and raped my heart of its warmth, pulling it down with all the weight
All that was left of my created dream
Was a blank
