Death Is Preferred Poem by Azure Critic

Death Is Preferred

Rating: 4.0

After many years of desperate searching
I've found you, my darling
You wrap me with your warm hugs,
giving me as much happiness
as needed in a life time.

I don't know why...
even when I find myself sweetest
I can't help feeling
while life's fine
death's preferred.

I've always been preparing,
carefully, and caringly, for death.
I am trying my best to love you in such a way to guarantee that
if I die you would not grieve
There's some kind of love that causes no severe pain
and remains protective
even after the lover's death
It's what I wish to achieve.

I don't know what life's done to me
or why death's so attractive
'cause it's every person's destiny?
'cause it'd leave
my restless soul
rest in peace?

Life's fine.
Death's gentle,
and it's preferred.
