Death In Three Parts Poem by M.L. Squier

Death In Three Parts

Though my body wither
I’ll take my soul hither
To find a time and place
To write another poem
Before I sleep
The long sleep and
Count no more sheep.

My body has begun to wither
And so my soul must go hither
To find a time and place
To write another line
Before I sleep the
Sleep of No Return.

Ere my body wither and die
My soul must go hither and fly
To a new time and place
To write one more line
Before I sleep the
Sleep of the
Last Goodbye.
