Death Poem by Ruma Chaudhuri

Death

Rating: 5.0

I was waiting for him
as if he is my best friend.
I was waiting
as he will relieve me
from all my sorrow and pain.
I wait and wait...
but he never came.
In my imagination
he is my only friend.

I am sure that he must come
May be in the late night,
before the starting of the dawn.
He will release me from
all my pain.
When there will be
no loss or gain.

With him I will be free...
then, there will be no one;
only He.
