Death Poem by Patricia Wiley

Death

Rating: 4.8

Funerals
dark and depressing
like the color black
the absence of life
Grief and regret
to all who know
there's no more life
just another to let go
and forget in time
you cry and cry
sometimes never knowing why
the many of flowers
as not gone
to lay and rot
with the one it was sent
the ones who live
may die inside
but for no reason
knowing it was their time
dead and stiff
never to be seen
lays a body
free from the pains

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The raw, rabid reality of death is painted here with the ink of finality. Well done my friend.
