Dearest Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Dearest

In the presence of light
without you in its midst
is of no use at all.
What is joy
if it is not the trail
of your radiating strides.
Forlorn is this moon
if upon its skies
your gleam is a-wander.
Your shadow
hauntingly beautiful
I will forever chase.

Pleading and in pursuit
what is its use
if not for you.
