O you trees whose branches are raised up high,
You whose trunks and roots can never stumble
Remain strong and very immovable.
Go, preserve your species and multiply.
Fight against those who treat you unjustly
For they must be taught a painful lesson.
The whole planet is not their dominion
But it is their responsibility.
Forbid not yourselves to bear fruits and grow.
You must know that it’s also your duty
To let yourselves survive successfully.
Your pride as strong trees let the people know.
You don’t need to be a sequoia tree
To be noticed and to be taken care.
You are all important so start to dare.
Go and use your rights to live and be free.
May everything that you have now prosper!
Keep your branches up and start to flourish.
Bloom the way you must and never perish.
And yes, may you all exist forever!
you're speaking to the trees as if they are hearing..i liked that...it's very impressive for a young poet to write like this... thanks for sharing. read (plants in agony) . if you didn't
Thus Spake Tree by Thus Spake Poet [Humane] Ms. Nivedita UK 10/10
Tree is a source for many things. Silently it speaks a lot and to hear it we just need a heart. Good.
trees do what they must do they do not have to make choices as men must.
