Father of the Digital Revolution...
Master of innovation...
Design perfectionist...!
Who else can be all these
Other than Steve Jobs?
"If you live each day as it was your last,
someday you'll most certainly be right",
You inspired millions
During the graduation ceremonies
At Stanford University, on June 12,2005.
But, painfully I understand now,
You spoke out those lines
To those ill-treated Foxconn Workers
Who assemble Apple products,
To feed your global networks.....
Exhausting workloads,
Humiliating discipline,
And cramped dormitories!
Who else can be more aware of
Their slave days than you?
To them, everyday is their last day!
Sad, every product of yours is
Waxed with tears and hatred!
CONSOLE THEM,
AT LEAST WITH A MISSING BITE
ON THAT CYANIDE-LACED APPLE!
'Behind every huge success, there is an element of treason! ' - Premji
Great poem. I've been writing to this theme myself but it hasn't really come full circle for me. I loved the line about the missing piece of apple. Also check out a documentary called Walmart the High Cost of Low Price..those rats are doing the same thing
