Dear Mother Dear Poem by Elena Plotkin

Dear Mother Dear

Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
I haven't brushed my teeth but I saved up all the floss.
Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
I took a bath like promised and only then put on my dirty socks.
Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
I have a pet frog just for you and he isn't very lost.
Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
I didn't really mean to say those things in front of your boss.
Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
One day I'll save enough to replace the neighbor's window's cost.
Dear Mother dear, please do not be very cross,
I just love to hug and kiss you because you're so warm and soft.
