Dear Kristen Poem by Nvisible 2Luv

Dear Kristen

Rating: 5.0

Always on another's shoulder
Smiles never meant for me
Your laughter will never reach my ears
Your future I will not see.

But what matters is your smiles do shine
And your laughter makes someones heart sing.
Your future is bright and secure
With things I could never bring.

Please know, dear Kristen, that your smiles I do cherish
With each photograph I receive
For in my heart, and in my dreams,
My little girl you will always be.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This was written for my firstborn, a daughter, who I gave up for adoption at birth. I wrote this poem upon receiving my first photographs of her with her new parents.

Please don't forget the blue:

Please, check the spelling of 'bright' in the second stanza in line three. Nice piece, it sounds personal I guess.
