Dear God - Poem by Tara Stano

If there was a God he would hear her pray, And for his daughter he would let him stay

He wouldn't want to hear her cries, And watch as she slowly dies

While her true loves life fades away, between the sobs you can hear her scream, Why god? It wasn't supposed to be this way

As the seconds tick, she sees her life crash down brick by brick

He says he loves her but says don't waste her life morning him, But to her without her true love her world will go dim

She stays up all night crying softly so no one hears, because no one in her world will understand the heart break she now bears

For everyone only saw the bad, tore her and her family apart she was so sad

Why couldn't they just see, just how amazing he could really be

First person in years to truly make her happy, now once again her world seems so empty

She bows her head and prays: Dear God, If you are real, if you are there, if you can hear me…
Please do not take my true love
God cant you see, he is my life, my world, my everything

I can relate to this poem. Am really not sure if there is indeed a god or goddess in existence to be able to hear you prayers. Even if there was, sometimes you have do these things yourself. If he does not appreciate you, then let him go. It sounds like he is not worth it. If he was, then he would not be doing this to you. Stay strong. (Report) Reply
