Dear Dad ..... [a Parody; Humor; Short; Father And Son] Poem by Bri Edwards

Dear Dad ..... [a Parody; Humor; Short; Father And Son]

My father, 'who farted' in kitchen,
I did it, but you took the blame.
You're not, like MOM said, a bum.

At least not as much as some, 'cause
Some have cursed me from birth,
But NOT YOU; you say I've got worth.

You give me a chance to clear my head,
And you only 'threaten' trespassers;
You've never shot any of them dead...

(Though I know you've been tempted) .

Despite what MOM says, you are NOT evil,
For thou givest me my weekly allowance,
And I shall love you forever and ever.

I swear.

Your son, Bri.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
i'm trying to use the 'topic': 'father son'. i was going to just use 'father', but when i typed 'father' i saw the choice: 'father daughter', so i thought........hmmm? but i wouldn't be surprised if PH will not allow 'father son' (yet; maybe someday) . so it may end up having the topic 'father' or 'humor' or 'religion' or '? '. got that? ?

this poem was inspired in a round about way by another poem i wrote, which caused PH member Michele Hammond to send me a message which included a 'hint' of this poem. thanks, Michele.
