dear dad,
if you somehow go into my room
and look through my things and you come upon
this poem
i hope that you read it
i know i caused you pain and hurt
if i could turn back time and start over i would
even though we dont get along, im hoping that we
could start anew
like adults would
im sorry that i never told you im sorry
you were always disappointed in me
after every argument we wouldnt hug it out
just leave upset
im sorry that i never hugged you or kissed you goodnight
like i would with mom
i hope when you read this someday
you know that i love you
im sorry that i never you i love you
im sorry we didnt have the best father/daughter relationship
im not perfect im only human
i hope i dont make you cry
maybe laugh a little or even just a smile
would make me happy
so dear dad
just to let you know that i love you and i hope you
can forgive me one day
