Dear Angels Poem by Petra Soliman

Dear Angels

How your memory lives in my heart,
The warmth of the sun on my skin,
As the sun fades,
The soft breeze underneath the moonlight,
Scents of loneliness from a lonely rose,

My essence explodes at the thought of you,
I wish I could've had the chance to cradle you,
In my arms, and sing to you,
To hold you and kiss your soft skin,
& hear your innocence,

Forgive me,
I can't let go of you,
This remorse chained my broken heart,
Breathing air has become a battle,
I miss you, so very much,

You were a dream come true,
Even though I weep, I grieve,
Nothing will bring you back,
But I pray you understand me,
I pray you forgive me,

I pray you would help me,
My beloved angels,
Up in heaven with His Grace, and His Mercy,
Heaven knew you were too precious,
To grow without a father,
To grow with a weak mother,

You have engraved my soul,
In the shortest time.
