Deana's Ground Zero Poem by Rehan Hyder

Deana's Ground Zero

Rating: 4.3

Chromosomes must carry
the dusty faces of just one fireman
who co-creates, salvages
every sumptuous moan
every solitary whimper:
must carry the silent sudden
migration to land we’ll
finally know
at least one petal from one rose
of valentine or wedding
should have the déjà vu
of ashes and dust that
fell 'softly on ground zero'

Hi Rehan, as I've already said, thanks and I am glad that I was able to provoke further responses to remembering Ground Zero and this really is a beautiful reply back to my piece on Ground Zero.. Hey keep going One Peace at a Time... and thanks... Bear hugs today.
