Dead Eyes Poem by comatose

Dead Eyes

Rating: 0.5

he lives with his gnawing plan that had been eating him inside out
is this freedom is this worse?
but if youre held by an untieable knot you should free yourself with a cut
if you cant find a way to cope
so he weighs it out
he waits it out

the pleasure of a broken man is to see someone with his pain
a thing that doesn't always work
if it backfires he feels it and he cant help but see himself
a realization that shows that he weighs it out

he waits it out
he weighs it out
and it wears him

if it looks like the only real thing it is coz it's the only real thing
to dead hooded eyes
and his reasons for clinging
insufficient and fading to last him throughout his cycles

it wears him out coz he weighs it out
he waits it out and it wears him out

if thats how ill be free thats how i want it
if i cant be who i wanted then now's the time

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Hi! , I’m Eddie Roa and I just got in to this website. By chance I came across your name in the list of poets and read some of your works. I have posted some of my poems today and yesterday. My style ranges from light to dark poetry (modern enough but not postmodern) and some Japanese verse forms like haiku, senryu and tanka. I hope you will bother to check out my work. Thanks and happy writing.
